WEAVING THE WATER #1
participatory performance
LISTENING TO THE WATER though intermediary objects
deep listening and accessing collective memory through water and object
The arrows were placed at Leyningsfoss over night and collected on the next day as well as water was fetched from the waterfall. The participants were asked to bring water from a source of their choice which was merged with the water form the waterfall.
The shape the arrows took next to the waterfall was recreated in the room and the participants were guided into a meditation that invited them to imagine being part of the ancient water cycle.
In the second half, the arrows were placed into their hands and they were invited to listen to the information the arrows might have collected from the waterfall.
Afterwards gratitude was spoken into the water and it was brought back to the waterfall to merge with the waterways again.
